He confessed to it though.... thats why, and he a ****ty public defender. Risking 2 felonies by fighting it out in court, just isn't a good idea, so he's going to plea down.

Why the heck did he confess if he didn't do it ????With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

It happens more often than you'd like to believe. If you're emotional or easily tricked, you can be tricked into confessing to something you didn't do. Basically, the first thing anyone should ever do when they get nabbed by the cops is demand to speak to their attorney.
Of course, sometimes that isn't enough. One of my professors said to his wife when he was being arrested by the FBI, "Get the attorney!"
