How many years will you graduate in? I think the earliest for me will be Spring 2007, and it might well be a little later (if I don't get kicked out).

one of my friends, who I would look at and say I couldn't do physics

recently got interviews at Berkeley, MIT, and Harvard (among others)

so maybe I can do physics, just not on that level

UPDATE: 4.5 hours at the 5$ SNGs today and I am up to 200$. Will step up to 10$ SNGs tomorrow.

The lower levels are proceeding nicely

Hope my play is still good enough to consistently beat the 50$ SNG tables (when I get there)

Thinking back on this it's sort of frightening that I can make the 5$ SNGs pay 20+$ an hour.

They do proceed rather quickly (faster than the higher tables since people act like idiots) so the average time spent on one is more like 45 mins and less like 1 hr

I play two at a time, so each individual investment of 5$ pays back 12.50$ (profit 7.50$) which means I place, on average, between 2nd and 3rd (out of 10). Of course, my most frequent finish is 1st, so this is simply an estimate as to the placement equivalent of the average monetary gain.

I used to play better than this, but I think it's starting to come back to me.

I like to think of it as wealth redistribution in miniature.

If I were a real capitalist I would hire chinese labourers to play poker for me, then go play golf instead of attempting to do both my actual work (research) and side job (semi-legal theft from suckers) myself...

~40-45$ per hour, I think.

You know what KH, I like your strategy. I made up my bankroll with heads up games and 4 & 8 person heads up tourneys. Then I went on to too big tables too fast, and also lost in ring games getting greedy, and played too expensive tournaments.

Basically that's almost the same as your basic SNG tables, I should stick to that as well, it has good ROI usually, on average for me as well.

I mean, play in 10/20 table, or even 5/10 table, and the pots get too big too soon. SNGs are the way to go

Do you usually play in them 10 person tables or do you mix it up?

So you'll be soon going into $10 tables then, just think about what it would be like steaming like that in $100 tables for a night I mean talk about a big pay out..
