Cowboys fans will definitely be hoping Texan Chris Simms can pull off a win and get Washington back. That's for sure.

My prediction: Wash 27 TB 17 (could be even bigger win, I'm actually being a bit conservative)

Yeah they proved how great their defenses were against each other earlier this year.

When looking at the game between the Bucs and Skins earlier this year, you guys need to remember that Carnell Williams was not yet 100%. He was injured around week 4 with a sore hamstring and didn't really become 100% healthy again until week 11 (against Atlanta).

During that period, Tampa lost 3 of their 5 games.

I'm not really big on predictions for games though.

I just wanted to point something out.

That's still no excuse for losing to 49ers 4th-stringer Cody Pickett and the Jets 4th quarterback, Vinny Testaverde.

The Bucs had seven games against bottom-ten teams. They were an unimpressive 5-2 in those games.

Also, I should point out that despite their weak schedule, the Bucs only outscored their opponents an average of 19-17, while the Redskins outscored their opponents 22-18, despite having the hardest schedule.

Frankly, neither winning margin is that good, and although I think the Redskins will win handily, neither team has much chance to make the Superbowl. They're just not good enough.

              2nd hardest schedule for Washington...

Where do you find strength of schedule stats?

the Bucs have the 23rd ranked offense (yardage) in the NFL

take away their top running back (who averaged 144 yards a game rushing and scored 2 TD's his first 3 games) and that significantly impairs an already weak offense...

funny how when he was finally 100% he managed to average 106.5 yards a game (not counting the game against the surging Patriots team)

oh BTW, the only other loss Tampa suffered when Williams was 100% other than the New England game was against DA BEARS

other than Galloway, the Bucs have nothing on offense other than Williams... it's no coincidence they sucked when he went down...

but then again, I don't expect you to understand that

As before: that's no excuse for losing to the Niners and the Jets.

It's awfully convenient to define a back as being at 100% only when he isn't completely stuffed. The Redskins game was his third start back from injury, and he had an awful game. He was perfectly healthy, he was just bad. And, of course, you took the Patriots game out of his average as well. He was held under 30 yards in five different starts, and two of those misfires are definitely not due to injury.

Williams is just an 1100 yard rusher. The Bills were perhaps the worst offense save San Francisco, and they had one. So did the Browns.

He's had six 100 yard games, which is good. Only one has come against a playoff team.

The fact is that with or without Williams, the Bucs offense still is inferior in every respect to the Redskins. Brunell is better than Simms, Moss is better than Galloway, Cooley is about ten times better than Becht, Thrash and Patten are both better than Hilliard, who will be Simms' #2 WR, Portis is better than Williams, and the Redskins line is far better to boot.

Unlike you, I'm actually willing to call games instead of engaging in meaningless pedantry.

who missed 2 games completely, and was injured for 5 others (not 100% healthy)

and he still managed 1100 yards...

                      as a rookie

                      but whatever...

                      keep posting

                      it's hilarious!

And I don't call games because I think predictions are stupid. You might as well be picking names out of a hat, or throwing darts at a dartboard with the teams' logos on them.

You got a 50/50 chance. Or more so if you just pick the home teams because historically, home teams have a much higher winning %...

I, unlike you, am looking at the facts and what actually happened with these teams. I'm looking at all available information.

I actually do have predictions for the games, but I'm not going to post them here.

                      1. I don't gain anything from it if I am correct... and it's unlikely all my picks will be correct.

                      2. if I'm wrong, all I get to listen to is some ignorant twit saying HAHAHAH ZOMG SAVA WAS WRONG HAHAHAH

                      3. this is the NFL, where some weird lucky play can happen and a team can win out of nowhere... these are both two good teams and both of them deserve to be where they are...

So I'm glad you feel "man" enough to make predictions. But if you are correct, don't let it go to your head. Because it will have more to do with luck than any supposed football "skill" you think you have.

He was not injured for seven games. Period.

All you've said is that Williams is the center of the Bucs offense (true and obvious) and that he was injured when the Redskins last played the Bucs (false). I've actually made some sort of meaningful analysis.

Apparantly you don't read the injury reports every week.

                          You should start to. Period.

Well, I already moved out once in 1999. (when you were what? 11?) So you would lose.

I could move out tomorrow if I wanted to.

                              But I don't want to.
