How is the border crossing between Syria and Turkey. Easy or did you get harrassed?

On my way to Birbinkilise I've noticed two byzantine churches in a village by the way, close to the place itself. I asked taxi driver to stop there, here's one of the churches.

The village was called Madensehri I believe

Close to Sille there's a village called Sille. You can easily get a city (cheap!) bus to it, it's not far away. It's great

Here's a chapel in a cave with remains of frescos, unfortunatelly being constantly destroyed by kids carving their names on them.

Oh, I haven't mentioned the church was in use up to the 20's.

Above the caves there are some ruins, in bad shape. And further away from Konya there are some nice mountains...

And we're back to Syria. It's Qal'at Sam'an, the place where St Simon spent his life on a pillar. I've read all about it in Theodoret's work.
