Are people OK with a Sunday, or is Saturday better? Advantages of Sunday are we can go to formal hall, or those who want to can do that on Friday and stay over for the meet on Saturday? However Sunday means those working on Monday can't stay over/be too late.

I think Saturday 25th February is the best option

Well I can always take Monday off...besides, it is hardly a long-distance drive back to South East London...

I could do this but Saturday only for me/wouldn't want to do a formal hall anyway.

Let's just go Saturday For those coming from London, the 24 hour Oxford Tube is a Godsend. Every half an hour right through the night, direct from right outside my door to central (and outlying) London, and like £9 return.

I can probably have at most 5 people staying over with me, although I can't see more than that really needed

Cool, if it's in Oxford I might try to venture down to this. I've yet to meet any of the personalities behind the usernames.

Bad memories of Oxford though. Rejected me they did, the bastards. Still, I shouldn't have expected anything less as I was stupid enough to apply for medicine in Magdalen. Why oh why didn't I try and do it in an easier college?

Or an easier subject. You don't get an interview without at least 5A*s at GCSE, a 4 A prediction at A level and a BMAT in the top 25% And I thought economics was bad...

Durham buildings 2, room 1. Confusingly, I was in Durham 1, room 2 last year, but my room this year is twice the size and with a double bed I can actually hold parties in my room this year, rather than stealing the pink house.

Graduate Entry Programme, 4 year course, different rules. One of the final 50 candidates out of 300 applicants.

It was rather disconcerting to turn up at Magdalen however and discover that, out of the 12 candidates invited for interview there, I was one of only two that didn't get my undergraduate degree from Yale, Cambridge or Oxford itself. Strange.

I felt I was the token affirmative action candidate.

Most colleges have 2 sittings for dinner - an informal hall which is like a canteen thing, and formal hall, which is a 3 course, waiter service meal in the great hall. It's the traditional way dinner was in Oxford, complete with Latin grace, the Master eating at high table, etc. It's also pretty good food at around a fiver for a 3 course meal.

Hmmm...so do we have a rough time? I don't think I could do the first weekend in Feb. since I might be in Paris that weekend...
