Well, certainly sounds like a nice idea and happy to perhaps even attend msyelf. However right now my programme for February is uncertain, as not sure how employed I'm then and what the necessary travel budget would be. I would say I know more around New Year.

Hehe it'd be incredibly cool to visit you there!

I'm not 100% certain of the dates I'm going there, it will be in the end of February nevertheless. Much depends on the Ryanair pricing policy

The Turku Universitys SHO Nations executive board I'm member of is going to London for some serious partying. I've titled the trip S(o)HO goes SoHo.

Will get back to you later on about the dates and such.

Could it be anywhere but the Turf? Other options would be the Bear (too small), the Turl (too expensive/uninteresting), or the KA, which could be good.

There's a Wetherspoons, but it's way up in Cowley. Anywhere else that has cheap drinks? Turf and KA aren't cheap, but they serve great beer

I was expecting it to be so...ever since the thread was first realised...and bear in mind we can go to the KA afterwards. And holding the meeting in Cowley would just be silly...

No point doing it in Cowley, too far out for most people. KA closes at midnight now, I think... what would be ideal though is going to a college bar, at least for a while, so we can show outsiders what they're like.

Full of badly dressed, drunken undergrads, yes, but it's worth a laugh

Oh yeh, Provost and I can take everyone to Univs, but it doesn't open until after dinner.

Now, if we do it on a Sunday, we can even have formal hall at Univ, but sadly Saturday's the one day it's not served.

Provost: can you book for formal hall too, being an old member? I can only book 5 guests IIRC.

We need to fix a date so I can book travel in advance. I'm not paying £80 to get there..

Yeah, I believe so, but I don't know how for me I will have to give Univ an email...which I will have to do once we have a confirmed date to get a room...
