Sorry, for Paris flights from London, you'll need to use EasyJet. Same low cost philosophy, but flies to different places. Easyjet fly to Charles de Gaulle actually too

Yeah, but if the only airport you could fly from is Prestwick or somewhere similar silly, it wouldn't be much help
Yeah, but my girlfriend's parents live near Prestwick!

Spend some time in the north, Wales, and Scotland to get an idea that Britain isn't just Oxford, Bath and London.
Unfortunately so, yes... :/

I agree with PA actually. Seeing the UK without seeing the countryside would be to have a false impression of it. My brother took some of his friends (international students) to the lake district for a week, and they had a whole new idea about what the UK was.

I've walked half Hardian's wall in the bleedin' rain, with a scourging wind high up near Housesteads I can assure you I've had enough of that godforsaken country
But anyways the countryside up north looked a bit depressing and dull (with some great views though and nice some landscape), I guess it's a better in the south however.

Or further North. I've never been a fan or Yorkshire, but there are some stunning parts of Scotland

I'm sorry, it's true My parents always used to drag me for holidays walking in various parts of the country, the Lake District, Scotland, Dartmoor, Yorkshire, Snowdoniaetc. I can understand the beauty of the many of them, especially Scotland, but I've never been taken by Yorkshire. Just personal I guess.
