You should have talked to her anyway. No matter who she might be, or where you met her. Well, talk to her up to the point you can definitively decide that she is a nutcase, and then make your excuses/run like hell regardless.

Honestly, the best advice I can give is to be yourself.

Don't act radically differently just because you're trying to put it on a girl.

Yeah, maybe omit the fact that you post on Poly from your consversational schedule. And turn up the wit a notch or two. Drop a couple of self-deprecating jokes...with an attitudethat lets her know you don't believe a word of what you're saying.

You have an interesting personality. You're a unique person. You're funny. You have all the things that make a girl want to talk to you and learn more about you. Be convinced of that. It'll become true.

KrazyHorse, I have a pretty damn good sex life for a middle-aged guy, probably five days out of seven. That is still maybe five hours total of my week. I spend ALOT more time doing other things then making whoopee with my wife, even before we had our little girl. Not that sex isn't important - but the biggest part of a healthy relationship???

I agree that making love is important, but not the most important. It is a necessary but not sufficient condition for a healthy relation.

Otherwise, what's the point? Why don't you have a similar relationship with your male friends?

Once you have a good sexual relationship the rest is just a question of also being good friends with the person.
