The gun certainly is German. Besides, I know for sure they did convert captured Russian Stuarts (delivered to Russia via L.L. from US and GB) in alike way. I've seen a picture of such modified Stuart, but with lesser gun. So, I assume it is a German modification, not Israeli.Originally posted by CerberusIV
Mr Harley's M3 based vehicle is rather harder. After looking at a few M3 photos I think it is based on an M3A3/Stuart V chassis, only supplied to Britain under lend lease. So I am guessing it is some sort of local conversion done in Israel around 1948?Comment

As I though it's a German 75mm Pak 40 gun mounted over M3A3 Stuart chassis. All togther it's called "Stuart-Pak"
But I was wrong, this one isn't a German modification, but Yugoslavian.
