When there's an actual effect on their sales, it might be news and/or something for WalMart to care about.

yea well... selling things at ridiculously cheap prices... someone has to pay dearly for that, but as long as it's not your average customer, who gives a damn right?

The suppliers who get hurt are generally smaller, inefficient suppliers whose resources could be better used by larger corporations.

People can complain all they like about Wal-Mart. Doesn't mean they aren't still shopping there.

As Arrian pointed out above, the South Park episode captured that phenomenon perfectly! People will ***** and moan about Walmart and the next week you'll see them there buying something because of the low price!

not me. I shop at Target. The prices are not much higher. And I don't buy that much crap anyways. Just stuff like shampoo and soap. I'm not a spendaholic like most americans. I only buy the necessities (yes computer games are necessities )

More people should realize, the marketplace is the devil

Walmart delivers what people want - cheap prices. They do everything they can to make it happen. If people don't want to work there - don't. If suppliers can't meet the expectations and make the economies of scale work for them, then Walmart will buy elsewhere.

The market lives, while the inefficient and ineffective move to something else or dwindle and die.

btw the reason I don't shop at walmart is not because the reasons in the article above. But because they censor the music they sell. I don't need some crap corporation telling me I can't hear the **** word (though amazingly I put up with a website that won't let me see the f word. ).

And I also don't like the gangs of unruly kids running through the aisles that are too narrow. Although I should note the walmart in the good part of town is a lot nicer. The one in my poor neighborhood sucks. It's all just a bunch of screaming mexican kids. I have nothing against mexicans mind you. I'm just showing you what it's like. I don't like screaming kids of any nationality. Kids should be banned. We need adults only stores.

This "Walmart is going down!" business is nonsense. They are still #1 and only growing.

The Waltons have personally given hundreds of millions of dollars to universities and schools in Arkansas. Good work Wal Mart
