    I'm calling the debate mostly in Sava's favor here.

    Rex Grossman CHI -- 2 games
    11 for 23 = 47.8%
    129 yds. (64.5 yds/game)
    TDs = 0
    INTs = 0
    Rating = 65.3


    A sample size of 23 attempts is worthless.

      This is not a debate.

      rookie QB... 4th round pick...

      3rd year QB who was a 1st round pick... and there is NO NFL person WHO IS SAYING REX IS NOT A BETTER PLAYER

      In Chicago, this has been all about upseting "chemistry" (the win streak) and whether or not Rex is healthy.

      J-Rabbit is the only person I have seen that has actually been arguing that Orton is a better QB.

      That should be an indication about how silly this "debate" is.

            Grossman has still been in the NFL for 2 years longer than Orton. He's had the chance to practice with the team for 2 years longer. Observe and progress as an NFL QB 2 years longer.

            That is what is important.

            You have a lot to learn about rookie QB's and the NFL.

                SOME data is better than NO data. Apparently you and Sava either did not witness or have developed amnesia concerning the offense under Grossman in preseason. They sucked.

                So, yeah, let's base this on idle speculation. Heaven forbid anyone should try to use facts.

                    It's not a question of measuring potential. It's a matter of giving your team the best chance to win each week.

                    We have no idea how Grossman might perform. He has almost no track record and is coming off an injury. We do know the team can be successful with Orton, as evidenced by our record. Putting an unknown quantity in at QB at this point would be utter folly.

                    Games are won and lost by teams, not by QB ratings. If I had to choose between these two players for a fantasy team, I would choose Grossman. If I was running an NFL team, I would stick with a winning formula.

                        Sava, if you want to call Grossman more experienced, preseason is all you CAN use.

                        In nearly 3 years, he has played less than 6 games out of 45. That is NOT an experienced QB.

                                Craig Krenzel started 3-0 last year.

                                You think Rex Grossman doesn't win the same games the Bears played this year if he is healthy??

                                Not only that. I say the Bears win against Washington in week 1 and I say they probably beat Cleveland if Rex is healthy.
