      • What a catch!
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

          • Oh well.

The Steelers came prepared and did exactly what they needed to do to win.

The Bears could not get it done on offense.

And the defense played poorly today. They really missed Mike Brown and Chris Harris at safety. There were too many missed tackles... over 25-30 today. And the defense did not get any turnovers, despite the two fumbles they forced that were recovered by Pittsburgh.

Kyle Orton was not as bad as last week, but still, he could not do enough to help the Bears win the game. I sure hope that if Rex Grossman is healthy that the coaching staff gives serious consideration to putting him in against Atlanta next week.

This game should be a serious wake up call. The Bears cannot hope to have any success in the playoffs with the worst passing game in the league. And if Rex is going to be worse than Orton, he shouldn't be on the roster.

More than anything, I'm just disappointed the magic of the shirt was broken.

But still... IT WAS A GOOD RUN.
To us, it is the BEAST.

            • Revenge is so sweet-tasting. Especially when you have the courtesy to give your opponent a sympathy touchdown (a courtesy the Panthers did not give us last month).

                • I think they'll probably run the table now, but the playoffs will be tough.

                  • It will be hilarious if the Colts go 16-0 and then choke in the playoffs.

                    • Their playoff problems in the past stemmed mostly from rushing defense and luck.

Rushing defense is much improved. They're now probably an average unit against the run. Their numbers look better than they actually are because teams get forced into passing situations against them. But in past years they were atrocious. Last year in the playoffs they were outrushed 288 to 122. It certainly won't be as much of a problem this year. They did stop the Steelers, after all. However, they did that by crowding the line. They don't have that luxury against the Bengals, for example.

                      But with luck, who knows?

                      • at the Redskins game. Cardinals have had 3 possessions and 3 turnovers, Redskins have had 2 possessions and 2 turnovers.

To whom, bears koolaid drinkers? To anyone else with a pulse, it has been obvious for some time that the bears are one and done in the playoffs unless something happens. Who knows, maybe Grossman will come back and put it together (finally).

To people who say that Kyle Orton should remain the QB.

This defense is one of the best in history. It can win a Super Bowl with a mediocre offense. That's what the Bears need. Just a mediocre offense and they have a chance to do something in the playoffs.

                              • It could win a Superbowl provided that it had a mediocre offense, and that the Colts weren't in the league.
