well, he's 36 years old... and averaging less than 4 catches a game... he's not a cyborg... this is the NFL. It's a rough sport to play into your late 30's.

No. Leftwich is a skilled QB. He's probably top 10 for sure in the NFL. He has the potential to be a Pro Bowler. Trent Dilfer is not NFL elite. Trent Dilfer is a journeyman lucky to be starting.

They are not comparable.

Leftwich is a good manager of the game. His leadership in managing the game makes the Jags better than the paltry passing numbers they put up. The same goes for Dilfer in the 2000 Ravens squad. That team was spirling down when Dilfer was handed the reigns. He managed the game will, added some veteran leadership and the ship steadied and thrived.

Oh... the great Trent Dilfer played in 11 games in 2000... 8 starts.

He averaged 136 yards per game. 188 if you average his yardage for starts.

His QB rating was 76.6. He threw 12 TD passes and 11 INTs.

Is that your definition of leading a team to victory Imran?

Turner is one of the best backups in the NFL. He has the same YPC as Tomlinson does, and he actually has a better career average.
