No. I am saying your point is completely retarded.

I actually know a guy who drives drunk. He brags about it. It's a miracle he has not killed anyone. This guy is a complete scumbag. As are all people who drive drunk.

A guy I knew, Greg Vasich, was killed by a drunk driver. The drunk driver was a piece of human filth. He, of course, had a history of drunk driving. I think he also had crack in his system at the time of the crash.

You need to seriously rethink your position Kuci.

    Because you are wrong.

You are wrong about a lot of things. But this is a case where you are SERIOUSLY wrong.
To us, it is the BEAST.

This is a major character flaw.

I don't know how red flags are not going up for you Kuci.

WE ARE TALKING ABOUT DRUNK DRIVING!!!!

This is shows a major flaw in someones decision making process!!!

How can someone be trusted to make decisions in a government position if they choose to get behind the wheel of a car while DRUNK?!?!?!?

Because a lot of people are stupid and do it? Because it represents negligence as opposed to deliberate deceit?

                stupidity is not an excuse

it is a conscious choice to step into a car and drive while drunk

if it were just about drunk people doing stupid things, then a lot more people would be driving drunk...

Welllllll... given that judgement is impaired while drunk, it's a conscious choice that is inherently less of an indictment of the person who does it.

And only one of them succeded to any degree, Clinton who actually was a moderate. But now the DLC is a shadow of its former self. Bush II is hated by a fair percentage of the electorate, but he still managed to outpoll Kerry who had little appeal for moderate voters other than the fact that he was not Bush. Even Clinton never received a majority of the vote.

What all these people have in common is that they seem to doing it either because they appear strongly to believe in the correctness of moderate positions or that such positions are best for the party, or both. What they also have in common is that they all bring something to the table the Dems need: either being successful Dems in Red- or Swing-states (everyone but Dodd) or being successful state executives (Warner, Richardson, Bayh and Vilsack), or being successful at imposing party discipline on the unruly dems (Dodd and Reid).

Biden brings nothing to the table. Nothing. If anything, he has even less hope than he did in 88, because he'll be running against one or more candidates with way more media buzz (Clinton, maybe Bayh or Warner, maybe even Feingold) and nothing he's said or done is going to inspire legions of true believers (a la Dean or, to some extent, Clark, in 2004), which is the only way to counter media buzz. He will be 2008's Leiberman, but without the advantage of name recognition. I repeat: What the hell is he thinking?
Again, what he brings to the table is expertise in foreign policy, more so than any of the other DLC types (i dont consider Clark a DLC type)

Now Russ Feingold should at least get Savas vote

                          The New Republic:

'But Feingold has long harbored wariness about U.S. military action. When Republicans forced a 1995 Senate vote to cut off funding for U.S. military forces in Bosnia, for instance, he was the sole Democrat to join 21 conservatives in support of the resolution. As other Democrats waxed idealistic about human rights, Feingold fretted about Vietnam parallels and worried that "our attempting to police the world threatens our own national security."...'

It seems funny until you realize the potential consequences. I had one of my college roommates killed by a drunk driver.
