        6 points (3 games) separate the top from the bottom in the northwest.

        Compare this to central, where 24 points (12 games) separate the top from the bottom...

          Very true Asher, but it goes deeper than that - the Wild were the prototypical tight, defensive NHL team in 2003 and have no real offensive stars to help them in the new NHL. They are going to have a long tough season.

          On the off-chance they think they might make the playoffs, look for them to make some moves before the spring. Otherwise, they'll be active next summer, which should be an even crazier free agent frenzy than this year.

              The reason they're 3-8 is because they played Calgary twice.

                    How many freakin' groin injuries are there going to be? So far I've had Sullivan, Gonchar, Gaborik and Zubov (and maybe one more, can't remember) miss time with that this year. I know other people are hurting too. Is the ice that bad this year, or is everyone that out of shape?

                      Both in some rinks, but it's more the latter. I'm sure if you took a look at those suffering, they'd be mostly players who didn't play somewhere else during the hiatus.

                              I took a risk and played Aebischer last night. He was absolutely terrible.

                              I dumped his ass to waivers, picked up Dunham and then a few hours later it's announced he's injured.
