It was first released yesterday and I haven't visited my gamepusher yet. Further, I only have a 16 MB Nvidia VC so I doubt I can run the damn program.

well, I wouldn't say that

but it has been better since Suchy released the newest NHLView (with NHL06 support)

I can actually go in and adjust a lot of the AI ratings to improve gameplay.

But even though I have maxed out penalty resist for my players, maxed out aggression for the AI, and lowered the AI's penalty resist, I STILL CANNOT GET ANY DAMN POWERPLAYS, AND I KEEP GETTING PENALTIES...

IT IS SO FRUSTRATING

in like 4 games so far, I have had 2 powerplays (one was cut short by, BIG SURPRISE, a penalty)... and I have had like 11 penalties... all ELBOWING PENALTIES

I don't want to turn penalties off, but I don't know what else to do. I can't play the game without checking guys... there is no other way to really play defense. Poke checking is not that effective. Plus, the refs will just give me tripping penalties rather than elbowing penalties.

I have my strategies set to normal, so it's not that I am too aggressive.

I was playing NHL2k6, but I got sick of playing on the PS2... I want to play a hockey game on my PC.

too bad NHL06 is my only option

ITS THE GODDAMN PENALTY CALLING

I don't know what else to do... it is seriously flawed man...

I mean, what is wrong?

all my players have penalty resist to 99 and aggression to 50...

all the AI players have penalty resist to 50 and aggression to 99...

and on top of that, the global aggression rating is at a medium setting, so the AI should be moderately aggressive!!!

but still, I get called for WAY MORE PENALTIES THAN THE AI...

Actually, the AI gets more penalties than me.

Maybe you need to change your style of play?

EA made a game that is severely flawed...

this editor is a tool that people are using to tweak the game

it is modding the game not cheating


Ninot: what settings do you usually play at? I'm playing on the highest difficult level, maybe that's part of my problem... but the game is too easy!! even on the hardest level I outscore the AI like 10-15 goals on 5 min periods.

I'm cursed with superior skills...

I do have a fantasy team, but I have played even with the default rosters and still I dominate...

I don't mind the lopsided scoring... I just want the penalty calling to be more even.

I get called for bull**** elbowing penalties almost every time I make a clean hit!!!

But the AI does all this hooking and holding (even on breakaways) and NEVER GETS CALLED!!!
