  • In case you haven't realised it yet...

...cIV ****ing rocks. This is my first gaming break since I got the game. I don't know anything about modding or multiplayer since I haven't tried them out yet, but I could pay at least 500e for the single player alone.

People, stop browsing these forums, and buy it -- now!

\/\/4|23Z0|23|). Big to publisher for not releasing it at the same date worldwide btw.

When is the Finnish release date? My guess would be Monday.

Glad to hear you like it.

              I wasn't captivated by Civ3 whatsoever.

But I heard that Civ 4 has alot of new gameplay changes to streamline it and make things simpler, without sacrificing the depth of the game.

Hah! Space Race victory in 1998 -- suck it down, AI!

Yea, you weren't the only one... I HATED Civ III from the start, I remember psyching myself before buying it by saying to myself that all I wanted was a newly packaged Civ II with more than 7 human players in multiplayer -- turned out that Civ III was a step backwards from MGE.

good game. will be even better once some of the compatibilty issues are resolved and Firaxis and the betas can focus on adding gameplay elements. If they are going to do that before the inevitable expansion.

Regardless, this game is vastly more enjoyable than 3.

If all goes to plan, I'll be picking up my copy sometime in early 2006. And, yes, I'm a Macintosh player.

Yes, IMHO. a good combination of the civs and SMAC, with some new stuff thrown in. And fewer exploits to pull. And far less annoying, ie closed borders to the AI.
