    • Actually, genocide theories, of extermination of more than half of the romano celts outside of wales, and most picts in the islands near scotland, are healthy.

"It has been found that the genes that comprise the English people are almost identical to that of the genes of the Germanic peoples of continental Europe, The English and Frisians studied had almost identical genetic make-up but the English and Welsh were very different. In fact not only are the English descendents of these invaders, the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, but the Scottish and Cornish gene pools also show a high percentage of Germanic genes, The Cornish are in effect Anglo-Saxons who for a time used a language that was hanging around. The genes of Scottish males also betrayed considerable inter-mixing with outsiders.[4] According to these studies it seems that only the Welsh escaped the onslaught from the Anglo-Saxon invaders, thus creating a genetic barrier in the British Isles. Through these genetic studies it has been shown that the Welsh are closely related to the Irish (not including Ulster), Highland Scots and the Basques."

But then I fail to see how one person's racism is indicative of the United Kingdom as a whole.

Of course, accusations of racism coming from the Anglophobic inhabitant of a country which expelled its ethnic minorities is rather ironic.

Btw, it goes the other way, too - what was it, a program on National Discovery that has shown europeans in China in bronze age times?

I think you mean the Caucasoid mummies of the Takla Makan.

Fair of face, reddish of hair, and wearing woven cloth similar to that worn by European peoples such as the Celts.

Of course given the current 'orthodoxy' of everything wonderful in the whole world ever originating with the Han Chinese, this is a bit of a politico-cultural hot potato - or should that be hot char siu bao ?- at the moment.

Nonetheless I suspect it shows how much the oasis cities of the western parts of modern China may have influenced the evolution of Chinese civilization- certainly they played a part in the transmission of Achaemenid/Iranian/Turkish arforms and goods and science- and also Sogdian/Indian science and religion.

Spinach from Iran became very popular in China, as did polo, Iranian mathematics, red dates, and so on.

The Chinese used special surnames to indicate who was of Turkish or Iranian or Sogdian origin- the warlord An Lu-Shan's name, for instance, indicates by 'An' that he was of Sogdian descent, Lu-Shan being a Sinicization or Roshan or Rushan.

I can't begin to tell you how unlikely this scenario is.

modern "colour" racism is to a large extend a british "deed" and you can't deny.

Your examples are pathetic btw. How many are of you? 60 million?

I suspect that most lowland Scots, like my father & his family, are essentially Anglo-Saxons or at least mixed Celt-Anglos. Highland Scots might be different though much of eastern Scotland as well as most of the off shore islands were extensively colonized by Vikings. Eastern Ireland was also a Viking colony so I suspect we'll see huge genetic mixing there as well.

                                A lyric by Allan Sherman

To the tune of "Wont you come home, Bill Bailey"

                                +Won't You Come Home, Disraeli
"When Benjamin Disraeli was Prime Minister of England,
And good old Queen Victoria was the Queen,
Whenever she would need him for official palace business,
Disraeli, he was nowhere to be seen.
She went down to 10 Downing Street,
                                The doorbell there she rang,
And when there was no answer,
This is what the good Queen sang:
Won't you come home, Disraeli. Won't you come home.
                                Come home to Queen Victoria.
Don't leave that House of Commons, and that House of Lords.

The key to the palace is under the mat.
Disraeli, won't you please come home.
Won't you come home, Disraeli. Won't you come home.
                                Come home to Queen Victoria.

To Egypt, and Bombay, and Rome.
