    AWESOME MOVIE

PS Goebbels wife, I'd hit it.

Apparently Gobbels did too, having 5 kids good lawd.
I just saw it last night, and it was excellent. I can't agree with hitting Frau Goebbels, though I wouldn't mind spending a little sweaty time with the actress who played Traudl Junge.

I got lost watching Metropolis in all of the glory of the set etc. and didn't end up caring a thing about the plot. Nosferatu on the other hand drew me in more because of the acting while still amazing me with visual excellence. So on a purely subjective level I rate Nosferatu more highly as an experience regardless of either films relative importance in other ways.

A pretty good list of films. Thanks for reminding me about Le Diner de Cons. The synopsis of the premise alone cracked me up.

haven't read this thread yet, but has anyone seen Jarhead yet? It got great reviews by Ebert and Roeper, and had a good opening weekend. It looks like a realistic view of life in the military.

I'm not a big fan of foreign movies. Especially French ones. You'd think I'd get turned on by all the sex and nudity, but I wasn't.

Anyone watch the Dreamers? Actually the director was italian. So maybe it's an italian movie. But it is set in Paris. You'd think I'd be turned on by a brother and sister having sex with each other, but no, I was not.

And then there was this film with an almost realistic anal rape scene. I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish with that. And they say american films are violent.

I want to see this movie (I actually did like the american version), but I haven't been able to find it.

Haven't seen Dreamers yet, but its on my list. Bernardo Bertolucci directed it. Its an Italy, France and UK production. The girl looks good, though.

Is that the film where Monica Bellucci gets raped? I didn't see it, and I'm not planning to: the reviews aren't good.

You have to realize that if you judge French movies based on this movie, its like judging American movies based on Brown Bunny.

I also watched that Japanese film about the students put on an island and they have to kill each other. That was rather silly. Battle Royale.

but I do like some of the recommendations posted here. But those kinds of films are nearly impossible to find. I usually download them on emule. But that can be hit or miss, as I need one with english subtitles.

Wait. The movie they saw was supposedly about a little girl and her horse!

somehow I doubt it was this movie. It's also known as the innocents.

I looked closely, I can't see anything innapropiate, hopefully I didn't miss some private part. If so, forgive me moderators.

                              • Naw, the film was some horse-meets-girl flick called "Dreamer". It didn't make much of an impression on Sophie, not like the Fantastic Four, which is responsible for her first crush, Johnny Storm. "I like him, Daddy!" We got Sophie one of those movie magazines dedicated solely to F4 - one day I saw her looking at the section about him, stroking the guys face!
