I hear the Koreans are crazy.

Despite my complaints, I do like China and especially Hangzhou. When you go beyond the politics and cultural differences, you can have a great time here. And I comparing Seoul to Hangzhou is a bit unfair as Hangzhou is no where near that kind of city. Shanghai would offer a closer environment. Hangzhou starts slowing down at 9pm. And then the foreigners start coming out. :scary: But I would like to visit Seoul sometime.

9 PM :eek!: A lot of Koreans stay out later than foreigners. There's plenty of places that stay open until DAWN.

But I would like to visit Seoul sometime.
If you do, PM me. Seoul isn't much of a touristy place, but there is stuff to do.

Right, just with Seoul the pay:cost of living for teachers is better from what I know and then you get stuff like less pollution and better infastructure on top of that...

Even those that have dance floors are rather lackluster. For foreigners, the biggest complaint about Hangzhou is that it is boring. Even to some Chinese people its a bit boring here. But we manage to find our own ways to have fun.

I'll _start_ going out at about 11pm and in Spain we went around midnight or even later, because it would fill at around 1-2 in the morning.
4-5am was the usual time I went home then, here I am more lazy and don't go out that much and not much longer than 2. But ofc, if you've got a girl, going out loses a LOT of attractivity. Basically, I don't know why I should go out at all.

Check the events in More magazine. Then find a guy named Tim, bald usually carrying a large over the shoulder bag. Ask him to put you on a text message list for other events. He'll be happy to.

You can usually find a copy at most of the foreign pubs, like Kana's, Shamrock, or Paradise cafe. This months issue is a little clandestine because it uses an old photograph which makes a row of them look like newspapers to the casual (drunk) observer.

Tim is very approachable, and he's been here since before the Chinese its seems. Wouldn't guess it to look at him though.

When I'm drunk I find it is pretty fun hang onto the grass and feel the earth spin, but that can get tiring.

I also enjoy having those "deep heart to heart" conversation with thons of endearment, adn then waking up the next day and not remembering shi!t.

I know ka-na and Paradise, but where's Shamrock? Is More specific to Hangzhou?

Yeah, More is a Hangzhou magazine put together by ex-pats and Hangzhou citizens. Shamrock is over near WuShan square on Zhongshan zhong lu and Hefeng jei. It's farther south and east than most of the other bars. But it's walking distance from where I live, which is nice.
