He will likely have four names, as is the custom in the royal family.
The Queen is named Margrethe Alexandrine Thorhildur Ingrid - 2nd name after her paternal grandmother, 3rd name of Faroese/Icelandic origin, 4th name after her mother.
Her eldest son, the Crown Prince is named Frederik André Henrik Christian - 2nd name from his paternal family, which is French, 3rd name after his father, 4th name after the Queen's paternal grandfather.
The Queens youngest son is named Joachim Holger Valdemar Christian - 3rd name an old, traditional Danish monarch's name, 4th name as for the Crown Prince, and also to enable his possible ascent to the throne as King Christian.
Now, male monarchs have been alternating between the names Christian and Frederik since the 15th century. The last King was Frederik IX (1947-72) who was succeeded by the Queen. Since there has always been an 'asymmetry' in the numbering (Christian X preceeding Frederik IX), the opportunity was seized upon when the Crown Prince was born; he was named Frederik like his grandfather and will eventually be King Frederik X. That got the numbers sorted out.
So the new prince will likely get 4 names, and the first of those will be Christian, with a hundred percent's certainty.
I would guess he will also get the name of his paternal grandfather, Henrik or possibly the French version Henri. And maybe he will get the name Frederik after his father.
As for the last one or two names, who's to say? I'm quite certain he will not me named after Mary's father, John, but will instead get other names of past kings, possibly Knud, Svend, Harald, Erik, Christoffer or Valdemar.
In conclusion, a plausible guess would be Christian Henrik Valdemar Frederik.
