Princess Mary admitted to hospital
Saturday Oct 14 23:39 CET
AP - Denmark's pregnant Crown Princess Mary, who is due to give birth this month, was hospitalised on Friday, Danish media reported.
Australian-born Mary was taken to Copenhagen University Hospital, the DR1 TV station reported, citing unnamed sources at the hospital.
Hospital officials declined to comment on the report, and the royal palace did not immediately return calls.
On September 13, Mary, 33, was briefly admitted to the Copenhagen University Hospital after having contractions six weeks before her due date, but was released two days later.
Mary married Crown Prince Frederik, Queen Margrethe's eldest son, in a lavish ceremony in May 2004 at Copenhagen's Lutheran Cathedral. The couple met in a bar during the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.
A majority of lawmakers in the 179-seat Parliament have agreed to change the constitution so the couple's first-born can ascend the throne of Europe's oldest reigning monarchy, even if it is a girl. Presently only men can become monarch. An exception was made in 1953 for Margrethe, who had no brothers.

Big news round these parts.

I say it's a boy. HM Queen Margrethe has two sons, and her youngest, Prince Joachim, also has two sons.
