In such a short time period the reigning CL winner pretty much always wins, and the fact that Liverpool was so pathetic in the EPL it didn't even qualify for a CL berth and had to rely on a sympathy vote to participate this year says enough about how meaningful that is...Comment

ps. Chelsea are the third best team in the history of the Premiership (last 12 years). So I don't trust stats that say we are the 5th best in the last 5 years especially as that includes a Premiership title and a second place and a Champions League Quarter Final and 2 Semis and a league cup. Only ManU and Arsenal and possibly Liverpool can compete with that Liverpool have no title but they did win a Champions League. Who is allegedly the other team better?
