Wait, you're white right DaShi? haha sucks for you...you have to toast everyone since everyone comes over to your table to see the "white man that can drink bai jiu and not vomit" huh? SUCKER. =P hehe, it's like you're a monkey...welcome to minority status.

Of course, if you're actually not white, it's not nearly as impressive. If you like bai jiu, you're a white guy that's "learned to adapt to Chinese culture." If I like it, I'm just an alcoholic...

But yes, it's probably the only good thing I can think of to come out of Guizhou...heh

Damn, you caught me. Although, I've never vomited to Bai Jiu. Came close once, but instead just sat there quietly for a few minutes until the feeling passed. Of course, downing nearly a quarter of a glass of it probably wasn't the best idea to start with.

Actually, I used to think I and other white people had it bad in China in regards to racism, until I talked to some Africans.

haha yeah, as much as white people are inferior, stupid, barbaric, etc. they're at least respected, or at least sucked up to because they have money. Africans, OTOH, are just monkeys.

        yeah...sad, huh?

But in fairness, we are inferior, stupid, and barbaric, especially drunk.

Actually, I believe the common Chinese term for black people is "gorilla" (da xingxing).

Blacks are called "gorillas", and now just about everyone stridently hates all Japanese. But remember, as any mainlander will explain to you, there is no racism in China.

Just because a slang term is used doesn't mean it is derogatory. It maybe, then it maybe not.

For example, foreigners are called gweilos here. They even call themselves that.

That's insane! Not derogatory! Is Chink a slang word? Or gook? I don't think so. You may not find it offensive, but I can attest to black people in China who do. Also, it is common for Chinese students to growl when a black man enters a classroom, because my friend was not pleased with this treatment.

I'm not sure what kind of people you talk to. In fact, I find the insinuation that it is an acceptable term among foreigners offensive. Some black people call eachother the N-word, but I don't think that it can be assumed that they all like to use it that any of them want to hear it from other people.

How much more racism must come out of you, UR? This is not the first time you've spewed such disgusting tripe.

I've always liked the phrase, "Gweilo **** You!" It's a wonderful chant.

That said, I can't stand Er Guo Tou Chiew. Tastes like ass.

Fun little-known fact: Black men exchange students from Africa dating Chinese college students was actually part of the reason for the Tiananmen Square '86 student movement.

I don't know about that, but there have been riots in Beijing started by Chinese students fighting black students who were dating Chinese girls.
