Regarding H2H vs points, H2H is pretty much a matter of luck. Over the course of a baseball season luck as a factor declines given the number of games. With only 14 games luck becomes more important and points are the true measure of a team anyway. I'm not even sure I like H2H in baseball, but the chance of a tie is so small compared to football. Besides, H2H is plagued by contradiction...what happens with a 5 way tie for first? Joe beat John, but John beat Steve who beat Joe etc.

I made it into the playoffs without winning A SINGLE WEEK...

notice also I think it was weeks 5-7 where I lost 3 straight games with pretty good scores, including the #3 score in week 6 and the #2 score in week 7 ... sigh.

I agree w/points over H2H as well. H2H in FFL indeed is pretty random; although I lost 4 of my 5 games to Berz, Cardiff , Lincoln Pockets (2) (the three teams who finished ahead of me), I think that's just coincidence - as I noted, in my losses to Cardiff and Berz I had the #2 and #3 scores in the league those weeks. Who you 'won' or 'lost' to is pretty much random; it's mostly just there to make the game a bit more interesting. I'd almost prefer to play in a straight points league - where you're rewarded for the points you score regardless of head-to-head...

As I implied, I think the best way to handle tiebreakers is the same way the NFL handles them, where overall points is one of the last things to be applied.
