Schroeder's capitulation to globalism reached it's peak yesterday, as he agreed to join Merkel's Christian Democrat government. The SPD is promised 8 seats in the cabinet. Both parties campigned on "reform" of the economy, meaning privatizations, rollbacks of wages and benefits, and cuts to social programs.
It's interesting that the SPD would rather join with their long standing rivals in the CDU than the Left Party, which now espouses many of the traditional positions of the SPD. I think this will lead to the eclipse of the SPD as a dominant party in Germany, and the rapid growth of the Left party.
