Too late, both of you! The Southern Nisbit turns into the Northern Parlay.. a classic move which was a favorite of Sir Walter Raleigh

Ok, a new game... well I say we use the 2nd Edition Botswana rules. I know African style Mornington Crescent isn't often played, but being the Masters, I say that it would test our skills.

The traditional opening is, of course, London Bridge

Now this is going to be interesting. Though I must admit I'm not familiar with the Botswana rules. I hope I am not making a mistake when I play Maida Vale

I'll take Sheperd's Bush to aquire a ratio-line, which I believe is of actual assistance in African play - at least, to do it before anyone else does!

The Swahili wiseman N'cha Ni, the father of Zimbabwe Mornington Crescent, would be proud that I used his famed P'cha P'choo move.

                Mind if I join in?

I have some friends that are derivatives brokers in London - they're all engineers and/or have their Masters in Mathematical Finance. They sat down one day and calculated all the probabilities of each play and came up with some great strategies. Though to be honest, I'm not sure if they figured on Botswana rules.

Nevertheless, using a proven model, I'll go for South Kensington

Sure, more's the merrier. Though poor Kuci is still lacking in the rules.

As you have not joined, I think it is obvious that you are. Though a rulebook is probably something you can order. Albeit the Botswana rules have been handed down through oral tradition... I guess that won't help for this game.

Your friends certainly never took into account the Botswana switchback. I know it's not considered sporting, but who gives a whit?

                          2nd edition Botswana.

We'll have no triple-steps or cross-sides in this game, if I have anything to say about it.

Nice plays in the opening game, guys. Shame Spiffor ran out of time to complete his lateral sweep to counter Imran's nisbit.

monolith, I believe the ratio-lines real strength came after the 3rd edition rule revisions in Botswana. Imran's taking back to the real old-school style of play. I shall take Bank, to limit Imran's options in the river developments.

Clearly, you are a laughingstock of the masses KH.
