Tell him we miss him - it's no fun without his informative and educational posts...

Does he think Bush has done a good job dealing with the Aftermath of Katrina?
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

Yes he does, in fact he says the democrats should be taken out an shot for trying to make political gains over this.

What have they done for America so far?

          Nothing.

How about a history lesson for all you neo-cons who still insist on defending this grossly incompetent admistration...

            Dunkirk 26 May - 4 June 1940, 65 YEARS AGO!!!

In ten days 338,226 people were rescued by a fleet of mostly small wooden sail boats across about 30 miles of hostile open water infested with U-Boats and constantly under attack by the Luftwaffe!!!

That is almost 34,000 per day

Or to put it another way - NEW ORLEANS WOULD BE EVACUATED TWICE OVER BY NOW!!!

WHY THE **** ARE THERE STILL PEOPLE WAITING TO BE EVACUATED 6 DAYS AFTER THE HURRICANE STRUCK!!???
Indeed, there is no excuse for this, and we have had other hurricanes many years ago where a similar or larger number of people were evacuated and without all the modern technology.

There is absolutley no excuse for what happened.

No there isn't. And I sincerely hope the two biggest culprits of this collapse, the Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana don't get reelected.

Their sheer incompetence and inablity to perform their jobs is staggering.

Course if I remember correctly their current Governor's primary campaign qualification was "she likes to hunt ducks," and admittingly Hurricane Katrina had nothing to do with hunting ducks so it was outside her area of expertise.

              • I don't disagree, Farb. The mayor and governor need to be held accountable.

                It doesn't stop there, unfortunately.

                  • I'm more than a little surprised the disaster relief isn't better organised - the US used to be the best at it.

Is this what comes of political apathy and tax cuts which lead to essential services being under resourced?

Especially since it's Bush that has appointed both the Mayor and the governor ....oups, another MOBIOUS fckup.

Oops, the overwhelming majority of Americans, across all political spectrums, hold the President accountable for what happened.

I' m sure they do, but is the President resposible or are the local elected ?

I guess that a poll gives the result you want, but I seriously doubt that it reflects how responsibility really are.
