      Venstre 51%

      Høyre 47%

      Arbeiderpartiet 46%

      Rød Valgallianse 43%

      Sosialistisk Venstreparti 41%

      Senterpartiet 31%

      Fremskrittspartiet 30%

      Kristelig Folkeparti 25%

Venstre and Høyre at the top. Awfully intuitive names or something?
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

Does this mean you would vote Dansk Folkeparti at home?
j.k. I know you are a Venstre man (Danish Venstre that is, I guess maybe they are closest to Høyre in Norway)

FrP has some good ideas though, can't deny that. I might even end up voting for them, but then again tactical voting makes me feel dirty.

Yeah, I would likely vote for Høyre if I were Norwegian. I get the feeling most selectors lob you in with Fremskrittspartiet/Dansk Folkeparti if you oppose immigration, even to a certain extent - since this issue weighs so heavily in the platform of those parties.

I could never vote for Dansk Folkeparti, but I do feel a bit the way you do - they have some good ideas on certain issues. But they're way too populist in general, and also slightly on the nutty side most of the time.

yeah it means "Left" and "Right". it made more sense back in the 1800s when we only had two parties, before some dude invented socialism.

I like the way the two parties of the black/yellow coalition are on the opposite sides of my result

Yes, Venstre is all of three years older than Arbeiderpartiet.

Of course, to make things even more intuitive, Venstre is considered a centre-right party, while Senterpartiet is quite a ways to the left.

Took the survey from Spiegel, but I wasn't able to get any percentages for the different parties, like others have posted. So I took a screenshot of the results, see below. I used the option to weigh the questions posed, giving more weight to the ones I found the most important. It didn't significantly change the result though.

No earth-shattering surprises on this one either. But I will say that from my overall impression of the parties and their positions, if I were to vote as a German, it'd probably be the FDP.

One other observation: How come, of the 30 questions, not one had to do with issues of immigration? Is that such a taboo issue in German politics as to not even be debated when a general election nears?
