Well, it's an England fan's dream... England wins and Beckham gets a red card .
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
Bring Billy Whizz into the team for the Poland game! Now!
Only saw the last three minutes of the game anyway - I really don't care about England. In fact, I'd rather have some kind of celestial guarantee of Newcastle winning the League Cup (the most worthless of English competitions for anyone following different leagues) than for England to win the World Cup. I'll be supporting South Korea again (provided they can beat Iran).
Watch till the very end, the last trick is a cracker.
Meh, I still pawn his arse!!!
yeah, right...
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

For those who actually care about England's fortunes, the Czechs had a penalty saved, and the Dutch are currently 1-0 up.
happy daze!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alva,
I don't even delude myself that I *USED* to be able to do that!!

Oh, the Dutch are winning 2-0 now, with very little time left, but many will remember the Czechs beating Holland 3-2 after coming back from 2-0 down.
I think that there's a seed for the first choice in each group, but after that there aren't any.
Regarding "the Welsh midget", I was born in Liverpool, and as such, they're my fourth team (after Fiorentina - going bust just makes them so much better - and Girondins de Bordeaux), but I'll have to rethink my position if you continue in this line.
At the only away game at Liverpool (admittedly sat with the home fans, but I didn't buy the tickets) I've been to, there was a real respect between the fans, and Liverpool and Newcastle fans are still proud of being a part in the two most entertaining matches since the Premier League started (which is when Sky think history began ), even though we lost both of them. So don't pick on the Geordies - I for one was delighted on 25th May, despite the fact I'll gladly support whoever the scum are playing, regardless of what they've done to us in Europe.
I was just having a bit of fun, Newcastle (and Sunderland for that matter) fans are the same sort of fans as Liverpool fans, good blokes you can talk about the game about afterwards without too much bias. I hope neither of the teams go down. Or Liverpool for that matter!!!
I'd rather have a celestial guarantee that we'd take 6 points from Sunderland for the next 5 seasons (with the gurantee that they finish 16th each season ) than England win the World Cup. What about you? Do you prefer your team or your country? This is an open question, by the way.
Would you rather that you won the League one season, but be guaranteed two losses against your major (preferably local) rivals each season for the next 10 years?
