Reference co-sleeping - those morons at the Surgeon General have recommended against it due to some bizarre accidents. Essentially, if the mother is monstrously obses, or on some kind of sedating drug, don't cosleep.
The Brits found out that there are fewer deaths from cosleeping, a nice statistical study. It seems parents wake up when the kid is in bed and something seems wrong. All I know is that she snuggled up to me one time, and I suddenly jerked awake. I am an oven in the bed, and she must have been getting too hot snuggled up next to me - but her breathing was almost nonexistant. I moved her into the middle of the bed, she cooled down - and was fine. I obviously did NOT get back to sleep, my heart had skipped a beat when I thought she wasn't breathing.
The reason for the monitors is SIDS - for when the baby stops breathing all of a sudden. They will probably do you no good if you both don't at least go on line and check out CPR for babies. There are critical differences. God forbid you ever need to know. The worst form of insubordination is being right - Keith D., marine veteran. A dictator will starve to the last civilian - self-quoted
And on the eigth day, God realized it was Monday, and created caffeine. And behold, it was very good. - self-quoted
Klaatu: I'm impatient with stupidity. My people have learned to live without it.
Mr. Harley: I'm afraid my people haven't. I'm very sorry… I wish it were otherwise.

Oh and crawling-- when she gets to that, if you have any slippery floors like hardwood or tile, don't be suprised if she spends a while pushing herself backwards. It actually takes a short while for them to think to LIFT their hand before they thrust it forwardYou don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo
