Her son was a soldier who VOLUNTEERED to join the Army with the understanding that during his term of enlistment a war might break out, he might be sent to it, and he might be injured or EVEN KILLED. He still signed his enlistment papers. It is the job of a soldier to fight, and if needed, die for his country. What that soldier may or may not have personally believed is secondary to the needs of his country, and I really don't give a flying flip what his mother believes. If he wasn't prepared for all of that he shouldn't have joined up.
Wars happen and they suck for everyone. There are no winners in war, only varying degrees of losers. If you don't like it move to Switzerland.Texas is the greatest country in the world!
