No, it doesn't. Well, only colloquially.

"Polyandry" contrasts with "polygyny". "Polygamy" encompasses both, but we might as well give up on "polygamy" as a generic and adopt something like "polyamory".

Let's just avoid the confusion and call it all "marriage".

          nope

marriage should only go to stable, advantageous relationships that support society

So the vast majority of marriages arn't marriages, then?

Britain and US must cement their alliance by having Bush wed Blair. It's for the good of their countries. Stability.

But then the UK could get a CB on us.

It's simply a word without any real meaning. Let's be inclusive with our new definition.

Polyamory, IIUC, is a 'lifestyle' (and is most definitely quite legal here in the states) polygamy, OTOH, is a legal arrangement, and is NOT.

Well, if UK and US sign a Royal Marriage, UK would only get a CB if:
-US broke off the Royal Marriage
-UK went to war, called its allies, and the US didn't join (?)

Actually, even monogamy as a lifestyle is illegal in 7 states.

                            No, it shouldn't be legal.

Not that I'm personally that opposed to it, but aren't divorces between two people messy enough? I mean, come on here... Who would get to keep wife #4 and husband #2 here? And their kids?

And jesus, what if wife #6 wanted to divorce wife #5, but they both wanted to keep husband #2? Just...

Well, Imran and other lawyers would win.

most marriages do not end up breaking up faster then most other arrangements

so while marriages aren't perfect, they are better..
