      • I don't either - but just imagine if you were twice as sensitive.

        • its all nonsense - the only reason its so important on Poly is the forum is full of obsessive masturbators.

. I think we found our tagline.

The only reason I'm concerned, is I feel I'm a little to un-sensitive. I can't believe how many personal details I'm revealing here. You guys really don't want to hear about my penis, I know. Lets put it this way. When I'm wearing a condom, I can go a very long time.

I wonder if circumcision can be reversed...

            • A woman told me mine was "beautiful". Is that too personal for you?

The sensitivity issue is probably more in the head than the equipment. If you aren't engaged emotionally or excited mentally your old fella isn't going to be too interested either.

you are probably right. The women I were with were prostitutes (legal ones in Nevada- I don't deal with human trafficking). Not that I do that sort of thing anymore. It's not as good as the real thing. I found out the hard way- pun intended.

No, that's not quite how it works. The usual practice is for the researchers to be completely up front with the specimens...... I mean, participants. They explain to them the nature of the study and they let them know that they will be chosen by lots. If someone finds this objectionable then he's free to leave.

If the results of a study appear to be overwhelmingly positive researchers have the ethical option to "break the seal". i.e., tally the results short of the sexpected end date. At that point they may offer the treatment to the control group.

Nah no worries. My lil friend and condoms do not get along either. I don't think you need to be concerned at all as long it does function just fine on its own. Prostitutes wouldn't do it for me either.

Try a female condom if you can, works better for me and after all protection is important.

I'm curious about those new anti sti cream/gels myself - I wonder they will act as lube as well

                      • I once tried a female condom with my GF - the one who ended up my wife. She hadn't been using the pill, and I said fine, you find out what it's like. She said fine, and tried it. She told me that it was terrible. She went on the pill the next cycle.

                        • This study does seem well-done; I'm sure it has some flaws and there were probably some differences between the behaviour of the two groups after the divergance, but I don't think they fully account for the statistical difference. Circumcision may well be a help in the third world. Although, any priest that tries to get the "A, B, C" method changed to "abstinence, being faithful and circumcision" deserves to be given to a gay HIV sufferer who thinks that sex with a virgin will cure AIDS.

Plus ten thumbs down for a Doctor who mocks "informed consent". I hope your patients know how little you care for that concept, Dr. Strangelove.

                          • Methinks Dr. Strangelove was trying to be a little humorous and or cynical/sarcastic simultaneously. It's the problem us older geeks have - we try to communicate with language, not smileys.

                            • Perhaps I am misinterpretting it, and the sarcasm was actually directed towards those people who think that informed consent for what doctors do to other peoples' children is a bad thing. It certainly appears from his tone that he thinks informed consent is a bad thing if it leads to fewer circumcisions. And it's impossible to deride informed consent in ANY medical context without belittling it in EVERY medical context.

                              • Well, if all you parents-to-be feel the evidence in favour is so compelling, then you have nothing to fear by allowing your sons to make an informed decision on the subject when they are capable of doing so, do you? I'm sure they'll agree with you and consent to the operation.
