On a related note, it's surprising that you're against circumcision.

I thought almost every American boy was circumcized and was therefore in favor of it.

There are many tribes that don't practice circumcision, and when people move into urban areas they often abandon their tribal practices, so there is a big population of uncircumcised men. In some of thesae areas the HIV infection rate is up to 25% of the reproductive age group, so these folks are watching their neighbors drop like flies. Under these conditions anyone might agree to a little minor surgery that's a well known custom in some areas.

I have no idea how common it is in America, although I'd heard it was more common in the North, and in past years rather than today.

Among my age group almost all men are circumcised. In the 1950s and 1960s hospitals circumcised male babies routinely often without even telling the parents beforehand. Then some goody-goody two shoes lawyer got all huffy about "parent's rights" and "informed consent", so hospitals began to have to ask first. Finally some limp wristed pediatricians began protesting that the procedure was actually painful. A movement to prevent circumcision sprang up amongst the closet hippies, so today less than half the kids get the little "snip - snip".

I'm just waiting on the pope going out and telling all africans that circumcision is a satanic ritual (unless performed on women of course!).

Your implication that this is a bad thing, and your allusion to to the pediatricians who considered it painful are gay, make me a wee bit concerned.

Young men who wag their left second finger side to side continuously are almost certainly gay.
