Cat's usually use the cat box. If they don't I don't think it has anything to do with whether or not they have lived outside.

edit: and you can make cat boxes not stink.

Although I am no expert on cats, converting this one into an indoor cat will probably extend its life by about a decade. If you like this mangy alleycat () enough to take it in and bring it to the vet, make sure it stays indoors.

If you can afford it and your mom lets you, try to get another cat somehow. Cats need to socialize and tend to go a little crazy without companionship of some sort.

He definitely won't be able to keep it indoors. That much I know. Once they have been outside you can never keep them indoors.

I disagree. It just takes a little time for them to adjust to being solely an indoor cat, but it is far better for the cat's long term health.

About the lung regenerating: I guess, we all really can't say without knowing how old space's mom is, for how long and how much she smoked. A really destroyed lung will not recover fully, beyond the age of, say, 50, the capabilites of regernation become in most aspects rather limited...

Well how are you going to get them to adjust to staying indoors when they just run out the door everytime you open it.

                              'Analogy'? Sounds dirty to me.....

Letting people chose their own fate is not analogous to allowing people to die in an accident.
