    Yeah, but wouldn't it be great to be on an expat package.

    I know people working at the Canadian consulate. They a gigantic apartment, car, driver, maid, free shipping of stuff back and forth from Canada, all moving expensive paid for, club memberships, etc.

    Hong Kong is apparently still listed as a hardship posting by the Canadian government.

          yeah a lot of these places are expensive if you want to live an expat lifestyle, same size house, have a car etc. and diet but much less so if you adjust to local conditions, food etc.

          Fresh dairy products, like whole fresh milk, and meat, like steaks, are 2 things I find it hard to live without. I must have a meat course with my meals.

          Lamb, chops, roast, sandwiches, is a big part of the traditional Australian diet which you miss - cos its unobtainable in many Asian countries - they can't stand the smell - but I've grown to love pork when in Asia - makes you fat though.

              I can see Honolulu being on that list i was there 3 months that place sucked. Couldnt buy anything cheap. I dont see how houston is on the list tho humm it used to be comprable with san antonio go figure
