Az, he said what he is quoted as saying. It has been repeated a lot on the various talk shows this Sunday.

The Dems continue to dance around this and try to change the subject. When they speak on talk shows, their eyes began to stare blankly as if they were reading from talking points, which, of course, they are.

While the Dems struggle with this, every commentator can see just how damaging to America Durbin's statements have been. He must have known the damage he would cause America and the pain it would inflict on our troops, but he did it anyway. He does not deserve to have a high position in the Senate and the Dems would be well advised to remove him as their whip.

The Nediverse strikes again. Once again we are back to a Senator said that torture is bad, read a report done by an official US Government agency which described mistreatment, then he commented that it sounded like something past totalitarian regimes would do instead of what the US would do. He then urged the Administration to change the policy.

Ned claims this is something the democratic party should be ashamed of and that it is helping Al Qaeda.

Once again here is the complete quote of what was said word for word. This is what Ned and the liars of right wing talk radio along with Faux News are trying to say has helped Al Qaeda and which the Democrats should be ashamed of saying. On another occasion, the [air conditioner] had been turned off, making the temperature in the unventilated room well over 100 degrees. The detainee was almost unconscious on the floor, with a pile of hair next to him. He had apparently been literally pulling his hair out throughout the night. On another occasion, not only was the temperature unbearably hot, but extremely loud rap music was being played in the room, and had been since the day before, with the detainee chained hand and foot in the fetal position on the tile floor.

If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime--Pol Pot or others--that had no concern for human beings. Sadly, that is not the case. This was the action of Americans in the treatment of their prisoners.

I absolutely hate Republicans...while some democrats are more right economically than I wish, I can deal with them, since they don't bring religious and moral crap into everything and also are more socially permissive...

Its sad that one of the most influential countries in the world is still run partly by insane fundalmentalists who attempt to ****** society and slow our progression in the name of God and tradition...if only our American democrats were smarter and more influential...
