Nah, my partitions have normal names.

      C: = System
      D: = Data

My computer is called Fred, or at least the C drive says so.

I don't name individual underwear. Instead, I have instituted something more akin to a caste system for all underwear.

          Silk Boxers
          Bikershort Briefs
          Cotton Boxers
          Poly Blend Boxers
          Tighty-whiteys
          Banana Hammock/Nut Huggers
          The Holeys
          Haven't been here for ages....

This thread, for unnamable reasons, scares me.

Seriously: Y'all are weird. I named my dogs and my kid. Actually, I didn't - Laura came up with all three. Adam I ain't. The rest of the stuff is just that - stuff.

I call my bass guitar Kirves (=axe in finnish).

I call my tonsils Saatanan paskat (=satans crap in finnish)
I'm not a complete idiot: some parts are still missing.

That's one of the many names I have given my computer
Another one is "Jävla cp-dator" (doesn't translate well to English).

I call my computer "the dinosaur". Sometimes otherwise its just the computer.

Naming a kid i think makes naming stuff seem rather unimportant.

                    Desktop: HAL (Duh!)
                    Laptop: JCN

Clarke got HAL by taking IBM and going back one letter each. I got JCN by going one letter forward.

Let me see. My new AMD rig is called Goon. My SO's called Pekingese. The firewall is called Bruiser. The old one is called Bookend.

Also, do you stuff the animals yourself?
Nope, but I'd mend them if they get torn or something. My three bears are named Rupius, Otto and Salvatore. The dog is called Prada. The hippo is called Grund, and the Koala is Koko.

Xbox is Lando (it came with that name).

They all do. If you beat DOA3, you can change it.

Otherwise it shows up in Xbox systemlink games...

I don't name anything. It's "the downstairs computer" or "mom's computer" or "dad's laptop".

Pah, even if you don't want to, but every computer needs a name... press Windows-Pause to bring up the system menu and check the "computername" tab (if you are using win xp).
