We have a Pit Bull and she is very loving. If you take food to her, the first time you see her that day, she will want to be loved before she will eat. If she is eating, we can take the food and she does nothing. It is how you raised them and care for them that can make them nice or mean. She is 10 years old.
MY buddy's sister has a pit bull. It's a bit aggressive towards anybody that comes near her, but doesn't bite. It just runs up, barks, and stops short of people. After that it's cool to chill with and pet and whatever.
Of course, that's a dog that hasn't been tormented and isn't in heat. Dog's are pretty simple animals; if you treat them like wild beasts, they'll act like wild beasts.
