You'd think someone who is hardcore into online play like you are would want to play games like NHL 2K6 on Xbox Live. Online leagues, tournaments, etc. all seamlessly integrated into Xbox Live...and no cheating like the PS2 versions.

Xbox 360's version will raise the bar even more.

As for WoW, as far as the people I have ever grouped with are concerned, I'd say there is an even split with the players being roughly my own age (15-25) or being even older, like the old fossil that is Agathon.

Besides, what exclusives are you hoping for? What do the other consoles have?

I was just thinking how Nintendo needed to release a Game Boy-esque unit that had all its (good) first party NES/SNES titles pre-installed, or at least bundle them all together into one game unit for the current GBA/DS or whatever it is, doing whatever it takes to get the classics like Zelda and Metroid if they aren't Nintendo titles.

Sony no longer has GTA, Gran Turismo is not big enough a name to attract any significant numbers; Sony can really only depend on its current momentum as far as holding such a large portion of the market under their thumb, along with the racist(there, I said it) attitude of the Asian consumers WRT shunning the American Xbox 360.

meh... marginally better graphics on regular Xbox... but not worth me wasting $300 just for better graphics on 360

I don't like playing sports games multiplayer. I like playing full seasons and dynasty modes. And I sure as hell am not going to pay monthly fees for bull**** Xbox live

Me too. I play full seasons online with real people.

Beats the AI any day. Even on All-Star NHL2K6 is too easy.

Do you find people you match up well with?

Usually I either beat the crap out of people, or people totally pwn me... I have never had an evenly matched opponent. And I have played probably 50+ games on PS2 online of NHL2k5 and 2k6 combined.

XBL matches you against players with similar records where possible. It's usually really close.

I know a lot of the people in the current online league I'm doing the season in, one from Toronto and one from Vancouver, and another in Ottawa. It's great to talk to people when playing.
