You can pretend he was always as he was then, but you know that he was different when he was still EVC, and that people were much nastier to him back then.

As I said, you've already admitted in this thread you're behavior to him, if you didn't know he was mentally ill, your actions to him would have been sociopathic. If it were a just few offhand comments, why would you even say you almost felt bad? Why would you say your behavior would be sociopathic if you were just joking around?

The thing is that you went here on a thread when he talked about a severe problem he was having, and you went up to him and told him you didn't feel bad about making fun of him. Except as I said, you know those posts aren't representative of his posting career. He used to be a self-proclaimed fascist with very extreme and repressive views, and was extremely homophobic. Think about the type of poster you are. Knowing how you apt you are to insult people in arguments, it would be inconsistent with your posting career if you didn't react in a vitrolic manner.

Put in context. I wished him luck. And yes, you're stampeding for the moral high ground. Still, I don't feel sorry for two very good reasons. Pay attention-

1- I had no idea he was unwell. You did, I didn't.

2- My good-natured joshing was no worse than yours. As I've demonstrated.

The bottom line is that you have accused me of "harrassing" him, and "continually hurling vitriol" at him, and both accusations are flatly untrue. The only place they took place are in the largely unused grey soup between your ears. The archives bear me up, and reflect the fact that I was joshing him no more severely than you (and you apparently knew he had mental issues at the time, which I didn't), or the moderators of this site. Take a trawl.

You will find no harrassment, because I've never harrassed him.

You will find no vitriol, because his entertainment was one factor that kept me posting here.

1) I played along with him on one his threads.

2) I described his posts as being in an entirely other catergory then spam.

That's pathetic. That's the weakest POS indictment ever. How many times do you have me insulting him? Zero. How many times do you have me mocking him? Zero.

By the way, I also helped EVC out by uncovering that his Login had been stolen, by asking the person who had his login to relay me an ICQ message I had sent him- which as he wasn't EVC he didn't have, thus stopping AH from continuing on impersonating EVC.

Read Thorn's registration date. It says 1999. The archives go back no further then 2002. EVC had ceased to be a regular by 2002.

Let's make this simple. The archives do not go back any further then 2002. Neither of us can prove what went on. But what we do have is this thread. And in this thread, after EVC announced he was going through a crisis, you choose to make a statement right here and now that you didn't feel bad about mocking a mentally ill person. That's why I went after you here, because you chose his moment of crisis to make a jackass statement like that. Think how you would feel if someone who had mistreated you were later to say you he felt no remorse over what he did.

You can make up whatever lies you want about pre-2002 EVC, or you can suggest you didn't know about mental illness, but in this very thread we have you still act like a complete jerk to him on the very second post of this thread, and that we have for a record.

I even exchanged pms with him a little, and he came across as perfectly rational in them, which further reinforced my perception that his persona in the forums was an act meant for entertainment.

Assuming people on a message board are mentally ill because they post wacky, attention-grabbing stuff would require one to assume almost everyone is mentally ill.

EVC posted a ****load of stuff that was meant to be attention-getting fun, and he got it. I sincerely doubt that the playing along by Laz and everyone else caused him any further mental anguish. He was probably just happy to have people who would respond to him.
