I love how you liberal looneys constantly harp on christianity (while majority of the time you stick up for the poor Muslims who are a peace loving religion...) and degrade everything American and everything traditional and then you call everyone idiots when they don't elect the guy you want. Funny how that works...not that I'm asking you to change or anything. I rather enjoy seeing Republicans control everything in the country and watching liberals flounder in their own rhetoric. Carry on.

How dare those Liberals stand up for evolution and sexual pleasure!!! Those bastards!!!

You are right, I see the evil of my ways. We must all join the ACLU in support of NAMBLA and the right of child molestors everywhere to practice their sexual preferences in peace. Even though I am an atheist, I am a conservative and therefore believe in God and Adam and Eve; this Evolution stuff is for the birds.

You'd actually be alone on that, considering the ACLU has supported no such thing. So it does appear that being a conservative does make people prone to lying, after all...

The ACLU has gone to court to protect NAMBLA and their right to exist and operate on the internet. Supporting NAMBLA is tantamount to supporting their practices. Just taking one look at their site demonstrates that. A communist calling me a liar, simply hillarious.

Actuallly no, I might be offended if you think so, anyway, Dex doesn't make sense and can't be called a real conservative (just to make it more complicated, european conservatives is different from american ditto )
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Communist? See, you don't even have a clue as to what you're talking about.

And the ACLU went to court to defend NAMBLA against being sued in connection with a murder case:

NEW YORK--In the United States Supreme Court over the past few years, the American Civil Liberties Union has taken the side of a fundamentalist Christian church, a Santerian church, and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. In celebrated cases, the ACLU has stood up for everyone from Oliver North to the National Socialist Party. In spite of all that, the ACLU has never advocated Christianity, ritual animal sacrifice, trading arms for hostages or genocide. In representing NAMBLA today, our Massachusetts affiliate does not advocate sexual relationships between adults and children.

What the ACLU does advocate is robust freedom of speech for everyone. The lawsuit involved here, were it to succeed, would strike at the heart of freedom of speech. The case is based on a shocking murder. But the lawsuit says the crime is the responsibility not of those who committed the murder, but of someone who posted vile material on the Internet. The principle is as simple as it is central to true freedom of speech: those who do wrong are responsible for what they do; those who speak about it are not.

It is easy to defend freedom of speech when the message is something many people find at least reasonable. But the defense of freedom of speech is most critical when the message is one most people find repulsive. That was true when the Nazis marched in Skokie. It remains true today.
That's mighty different from your claim that they were defending someone's "right" to molest kids. I support your right to say what you want...does that mean I support what you say? Hardly.

The ACLU has been rather consistent in defending the right to Free Speech, for EVERYBODY, including plenty of conservative nuts. The simple fact is that nothing on the NAMBLA website ran contrary to any laws, as repugnant as the material may have been.

As a side note, I do find it amusing that the cons love to bring up NAMBLA, which is, for all intents and purposes, defunct. It has been noted that the website in question hasn't been updated since 1999.

So I guess this means that you would like to see hate groups such as the Ku Klux Klan denied their freedom of speech as well?

I deplore the behavior of NAMBLA members and their twisted ideas just as much as I do in regards to Ku Klux Klan members. If you really want consistent, fair standards, you would have the same attitude towards hate groups.

                  So do you?

We must ban the Klan and other organizations which may offend! Supporting their right to exist is tantamount to supporting their practices!
