  • Ten Most Harmful Books of the 19th and 20th Centuries voted on by conservatives

Welcome to our blog where we discuss the most significant events for the 20th century in the history of the United States.

    1. The Communist Manifesto
    2. Mein Kampf
    3. Quotations from Chairman Mao
    4. The Kinsey Report
    5. Democracy and Education
    6. Das Kapital
    7. The Feminine Mystique
    8. The Course of Positive Philosophy
    9. Beyond Good and Evil
    10. General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money
It suprised me that Origin of the Species and Descent of Man only got honorable mentions.
Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try. -Homer

I saw this on another forum.

What a bunch of morons. Kinsey Report #4? Beyond Good and Evil (they say the Nazi's used it... so a perversion of Nietszche makes it harmful?)? And how many Commie books can you put on it?
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Why are Darwin and Freud not more to the top? Aren't they evil enough?

The Kinsey report; further proof that the truth is conservativism's worst enemy.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

I think conservatives just dismiss them as harmless crackpots

                      "Democracy and education"

                      Who would thunk that...

Not that i've read it, going on title only here.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

I'm amazed some titles even made it on that list.

                        Silent Spring.
                        Unsafe at Any Speed.
                        Origin of Species.
                        Descent of Man.

                        and this kicker:

                        ...On Liberty.

                        WTF?

I'm surprised they didn't just simply declare that books are harmful.
