I'm now living just outside of Corpus Christi, Texas. It's disturbing too me that on the drive to work and home the only news sources I can find are NPR news and serious right-wing opinion shows that pass for news. I'm not saying that these people should not have a voice. It's just that the people on the shows offer no counterpoint and very little to support their opinions. Just yesterday the radio person refers to Kerry as "Senator Flip-Flopper" and Al Sharpton as "Not so Sharpton" then told us that these two people THOUGHT it was okay and WANTED everyone to be welfare waiting for government handouts and that these people WANTED to take money out of the radio audience pockets and give it to the people who were too lazy too work. I don't recall any of these men ever saying that!
Then they went on to discuss Micheal Jackson. I'm not going to tell you what was said about him as I really don't care about him or the verdict. I will just point out that his case and Kobe Bryants case recieved more coverage and mention than Robert Blake's case in which a woman was murdered. Makes no sense.
I will also concede that the left is not always right and the right is not always wrong but if there is no actual conversation on the issues then the truth will always have trouble coming to light.
