Sunday is election day though, so as I have said, I'll be with my family mostly.
PH and Dauphin, Cologne on that sunday will be very much... voting
Be sure to spend the evening before leaving on that train in some local pub and watch the election results which will come in at about 6 PM (best results not before 9 PM though).

Snotty's hotel is quite close to Friedrichstraße station, that of PH and Dauphin very close to Alexanderplatz station. both are in one line with Zoo station so Berlin will seem like a cosy town to you guys.Comment

You guys will see Berlin on monday and Potsdam on tuesday. Anyone who's still around on wednesday can get more of Berlin (the western bits) and maybe be invited to my parents' place for coffee. How does that sound?

How long do you stay Snotty? Dauphin leaves late on tuesday, PH early on thursday IIRC.

This is a free land, our pubs don't close before the last customer left. In central Berlin you should be fine until well after midnight AND you can order new beer all the time. You'd have to find a pub with a TV though, plus be in the right city quarter so you don't get stranded in a crowd of cheering CDU voters or raging PDS folks.
The area around your hostel should be fine though, both pub-with-TV-wise and people-wise.Comment
