Maybe so, but IIRC it was Linda Lovelace who played in Deep Throat?

This is all over the Washington Post home page.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I dread to think how he earned the nickname 'Deep Throat'. Was it awarded by J Edgar Hoover?

The Neds of this world are already calling him a traitor. I bet that our own Ned will soon join the denunciation of this evil man.

From what the said the name came from the porn flick, who knows why. Funny, Watergate had a source whose name came from a sex act, and the Lewinsky scandal happened when Clinton hid the fact he performed the same act...

Nothing new there...often so deep though, you can't even find it.

I think the name came from the fact he was a heavy smoker and had a deep gravelly voice, amplified by the fact they usually met in empty multi story carparks after dark.

NBC News commentator Chris Matthews, who wrote a book about Watergate, said he wasn't surprised, adding that Felt "has always been the leading suspect."
First time I heard of this guy and I watch Chris Mathews alot.
