its because there was never any slavery, or civil rights movements in europe i think. so there is no PC thing about that - being racist doesnt have as bad a connotation because there is no traumatic past (people use derogatory terms towards africans and middle easterners, but less so toward jews, because of course of ww2, especially germans)

Yaeh I have to agree with bebro here, racism has bad connotation in here. Well, the holocaust, duh? I think the ultimate racism was the whole arayan think. At least KKK accepts all whites. Nazis didn't even accept all whites. They had more strict rules about those race things.

There was slavery in Europe as well. I mean kind of. Europe was more colonialist bastard than anyone else. It wasn't too long ago when colonialists had to put people back into their places wiht guns and whips because they didn't like being submitted like that. Well, then Europe kind of pressured itself, and realized we can't kill all Algerians etc, and Asian people either. Besides those Asians started fighting, couldn't keep them places now could we. Indochina was a mother****er. And many other cases as well. It's a good thing we favoured some group of the people and let them submit other grops of their own people even more, so when we left places, there were power vacuums and lol, lots of **** happened and still happens.

But of course, we must stay in form, US is the bastard. They had Vietnam. After us. So we were smarter, like with few years advantage. We will hold on to it.
