So, are we agreed on Saturday 11 June then? I have to admit I have no experience in setting up these things. If anyone wants to "take the lead" in suggesting a time and place to meet, and things we could be doing together, please speak up.
I had a place called 'Brickskeller Inn' suggested to me for this occasion, it's near the Dupont Circle Metro, and they reportedly have a selection of 900 beers from all over the world on their menu. Most beers are around $4, according to lonely planet, with others being more expensive.
They open at 6 p.m. on Saturdays, so if we meet earlier (which I would very much hope we do), maybe 'Brickskeller Inn' could be where we went after getting acquainted over lunch or something. I think it's a very popular place with lots of people, so if we decide to go there, we should probably try to make it relatively early after they open.
I think if we found a nice place to meet and have lunch (for those in need) at say, 1 p.m., we could go for a walk later on and drop in (by walking or Metro) at e.g. Brickskeller or some other similar place.

Yes, it's probably best if one person says the time and place, then people have to say if they object to the proposed.
But I was hoping someone else would say "here's what I think we should do", since I'm not familiar with Washington - and also I haven't been to the kind of "mass meeting" we're having before.
But I will say:
Date: Saturday, 11 June 2005
Time: 1 p.m. - ?
Place: Suggestions needed... I would like it to be a centrally located place that serves lunch, affordable to everybody.
Plans for the day: When we meet, we can talk about what we want to do. But the important thing to me is to just meet people and get to know them a little. We're not going to go sightseeing, but maybe a nice walk in the afternoon to some other place where we could settle in for as long as people want.

I know last time we were all basically able to rely on cell phones. I don't think European cell phones work in North America and vice versa, so we can't rely on it.
In terms of place, we need to make it sure it is a place that will have seating for everyone, I know last time the tables weren't big enough and we had to go somewhere else. It should also be a place where it would be readily easy to find and identify everyone. And of course it'd have to be place which is good for waiting around for other people to show up(i.e., not a restaurant that won't seat you until your whole party is there)
If somebody know of a place like that that could work. A coffee shop which normally has a bunch of free spaces could work. A bar would also work, but Kuciwalker isn't 21. Maybe another option we could try would be meeting in the Lobby of Winston's hotel and heading out for lunch from there once we have everyone?"I'm moving to the Left" - Lancer
"I imagine the neighbors on your right are estatic." - Slowwhand

You don't need to worry about me in terms of mobile phones, I don't have one.
The point about seating space is an important one. I had started to also build this image in my head of a coffee shop-like thing for our meeting place, or perhaps an outdoor site that's distinct enough to secure that we're all able to find eachother.
The lobby of my hotel could work also, but I imagine it's located some distance from where we're likely to spend our time together.
BTW, do you have to be 21 to even be allowed in a bar? I'd have thought you could go there as long as you didn't order alcoholic drinks.
