We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution. - Abraham Lincoln
Well, Wilson was an ardent racist and probably set back race relations in the U.S. moreso than any other president.
However, his debilitating stroke wasn't until 1919. After that, yes, he was pretty much a puppet of his handlers (esp. his wife). But before that, the notion that he was an easily-manipulated fool is ridiculous.

Well, that is the explanation a lot of historians give us for how he was manipulated by France and Britain at Versailles.
The US is currently led by an acknowledged dummkopf. So can we expect you to blame the last war in Iraq on Britain too, and exonerate the US?
Well, Tony did manipulate Bush to try to get a second resolution through the UN. Clinton never bothered with such trivia and just went to war. (Clinton never even asked Congress.) One can rightly say that Bush bent over backwards for Blair, something that Clinton never did.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Which war excactly did Clinton go to? AFAIR Clinton was a confirmed draft dodger.

"Spirit merges with matter to sanctify the universe. Matter transcends to return to spirit. The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self." - Dennis Kucinich, candidate for the U. You know: Haiti, Kosovo, et al.
He didn't bother with the UN in the case of Kosovo b/c of a certain Russian veto. I only wish Blair and Bush had been more wise b/c a French veto of a second resolution was a forgone conclusion.
As to Vietnam, not only did he dodge the draft, he also said at the time that he hated the military -- so much for supporting the troops. He, like Fonda and Kerry, actively supported a communist victory which is a little bit more than just being against the war.

I'm deeply shocked - are you really claming that the Brits wasn't to blame for those wars that Clinton was fighting ?

Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

Let's put it in a way you modern nincompoops can understand.
Britain was the major power prior to WWII. It drew the lines on the maps and awarded other peoples' lands from one nation to another. It made agreements and broke them with the best of them. It betrayed allies and lied to its friends with the best of them.
Today, Britain is no longer the mover and shaker. The US is. But, I can only hope we behave better.

It is interesting that I am considered the uber rightest when on most of the social issues I am slightly left. Obviously, the people here associate "rightism" with economic and/or political rightism.
